AWAY DAY AT SEACLIFF - 28 JUNE 2009

On Sunday 28 June Walkies had it's first “away day” of the summer. Brian, Moira and Misty collected the doggie day trippers - Murphy, Rebel, Chocolate Murphy, Rocky and Chester around 10am and set off down to Seacliff in East Lothian, near North Berwick. As soon as we arrived it was plain to see that there was miles of sand and hundreds of rock pools and the dogs took off in all directions racing through the water. We continued along the coast for a couple of hours, exploring new pools, beaches, climbing rocks, the dogs chasing each other and an unfortunate vole! We then returned to the van when the dogs had a water stop and an half hours rest while Brian and Moira had lunch while admiring the wonderful views of the Bass rock and Tantallon castle. After lunch the fun continued with a walk in the other direction and a play in the sea. We visited the Gegan – an outcrop of rocks where there is one of the smallest harbours in the world. We all had an exciting and fun day, especially the dogs who were returned tired and happy to their owners at about 5.00pm.
